$225 for the entire week

Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Improv, Pointe and Choreography

(Choreography:  the students will learn an entire piece over the course of the week)

Receive more than a month’s worth of technique in a week, with a special performance for the parents on Friday at 4pm.

Students will be divided into 3 levels – *sample schedule*

Teachers

Guest Ballet Teacher/Choreographer: CJ Burroughs (Raleigh, NC) received her BFA from University of Michigan and graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts high school program. She further trained at intensives held by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Bodytraffic, LINES Ballet, San Francisco Conservatory, VIM VIGOR, Gallim Dance, and SpringboardX. Her performance career began with Ron De Jesus Dance, Marc Macaranas’ DISASTERdance, Thodos Dance Chicago. CJ then joined The Big Muddy Dance Company and danced for seven seasons, performing in lead roles and working with dozens of diverse choreographers. CJ is thrilled to teach at Dancestation this summer!

Guest Jazz Teacher/Choreographer: Raechel Roberson grew up in Edwardsville Illinois and has been dancing since she was 2 years old. She started dancing at Jane Manion’s school of dance and she continued dancing after high school in college. She graduated from Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville in 2024. She was a part of SIUE’s University Dance Company and is now training with Big Muddy Dance Company as a trainee. Raechel has also spent summer  intensives training with Hubbard Street and Backhaus Dance.

Guest Modern Teacher/Choreography: Haley Lindquist is a Dance Station Alumni originally from O’Fallon, IL. She graduated from Lindenwood University with her B.F.A. in Dance in 2017. While attending school, she had the privilege of studying abroad in Paris and presenting two pieces at the American College Dance Association. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to study all over the United States with Big Muddy, David Dorfman, Visceral, Darrell Moultrie, Gallim, Vim Vigor, and Erica Sobol. For the past 5 years, she has lived in New York working as a freelance dancer participating in dance films, festivals, concerts, activism and was a founding member with PinkyDance Company.

Guest Improv teacher – Ben Mielke received his BFA in Modern Dance from University of Illinois and his MFA in Modern Dance from University of Utah with a certification in Screen Dance (dance for camera).  From 2005-14 he served as technical director, aerial rigger, and featured performer with Robert Wood Dance New York. Ben has also served as our resident Drosselmeyer in our Nutcrackers in recent years, as well as offered his expertise in all thing’s improv and partnering/pas de deux work.

Pointe/Choreography: Elizabeth Conway – SSDC and DanceStation director – received her BFA in Dance Performance from Webster University and has attained the rare honor of being a Diploma Fellow of the CCA. She is also the former Dance Minor director of McKendree University and McKendree Dance Ensemble.
