Jan reminders and newsletter

Friendly reminder that tuition is due on the first class of each month, and a late fee goes into effect after the 15th of each month. Today is the last day to pay the January tuition installment before the late fee kicks in. I know we had several new families start last week and even this week, so I just wanted to catch everyone before the late fees kick in automatically. You can log into your parent portal to pay online or drop a check or cash off in the tuition box at the studio. Thanks!

Here is the January newsletter and permission slip. The bottom half of the permission slip is due back with the costume deposit by Fri. Jan 30th. thanks!

DanceStation Newsletter: January 2026

Happy New Year! Welcome back! We hope you are healthy and well-rested! This month there is a paper newsletter with a permission slip for our June recital and costumes.

DanceStation does not take off for most Monday holidays.  We will have class on Jan. 19 (MLK Day) and Feb. 16 (Presidents’ Day).

Just a reminder that our weather policy is…

If schools in the O’Fallon School District close due to weather reasons, there are also no classes at DanceStation.  We will inform everyone with a post through the Dancestation app as well. Sometimes bad weather occurs over the course of the evening while we are in class. In these cases, we will post updates on evening cancellations through notifications on the app, so we can reach everyone quickly.

Adult Classes:  We are offering Adult Ballet on Tuesdays from 7-8pm and Adult Yoga/Stretch from 8-8:45pm again this semester with Mr. Ben, as a 12 week session. Adult Ballet is $150, and Adult Yoga/Stretch is $140, but most of you would receive the 20% off 2nd family member, 50% off 3rd family member, or free for 4th family member discount. Both classes run Tues Jan. 13-Tues March 31 (right up to spring break). We are also offering an 8 week Adult Beginner/Intermediate Tap class with Miss Jenny Fischer on Monday nights from 6:15-7pm for $90 starting Feb  2nd – March 23rd.  Please email or call to sign up for any of these! Our adult classes have a great time and it’s a great way to keep moving during the colder months!

Tuition – is due the first class of every month. You can send cash or check with your dancer’s name on the memo to put in the tuition box at the studio, or you can use your Parent portal link to pay online. A $10 late fee is added after the 15th of the month, a $25 late fee is added for subsequent months following the first late fee.

A $55 costume deposit is due in January, along with the costume/recital permission slip. They are due by Fri. January 30th.

If for any reason your child cannot attend the recital this year, I need to know ASAP.  We are ordering costumes early this year due to ongoing costume catalog supply issues.  Dress rehearsals at the Hett are June 3-5 and the recital dates are June 6th and 7th at The Hettenhausen Center for the Arts).  There are also mandatory rehearsals at the studio the week leading up to the recital.  Because we put on a ballet medley (littles) or full-length ballet (older kids) for each performance – each dance must connect to the others, and so an extra rehearsal during recital week is needed.  Please plan your trips/vacations accordingly, and make sure you are not gone for any of these extra rehearsals or dress rehearsals in order to participate in the recital.  We will be measuring for costumes this week, and I will order costumes for all children who have turned in their permission slips the weekend of Jan 30th.  Once the costumes are ordered, there are no refunds.  The costume balance will be due in April.  A costume balance/tuition statement will available to each family at the end March.
