State Street Dance Company

SSDC is our student based pre-professional company that is open to all students in Ballet 5 and up. We bring in choreographers from all over the St. Louis area, and many of my alumni that are now dancing professionally come back to set pieces as well. The students are exposed to professional choreography from all styles (modern, contemporary, ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, broadway, and hip hop) from an early age, which helps to create well-rounded dancers that are fully prepared for college or professional work once they graduate. Dancers participate in local parades, community fairs, and sometimes tour grade schools and elder care facilities.
