Class begins Monday, Sept 9th
It’s almost time! Classes begin Monday, September 9th and we can’t wait to see your dancer! Reminder that the parking lot in the back gets very busy – so drive slowly through the alley, don’t park in the ice cream lot (their spaces are for their costumers only and they don’t have very many spaces), and try to make use of street parking in front of the studio whenever possible.
A few reminders:
*Dress Code.
Girls: any color solid leotard (skirt attached for ages 3-7 is fine), pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes. Black jazz shoes are needed for jazz levels 2 and up, but not for the younger combination classes. There is a local dance supply store in Belleville called Demetria’s, and they can assist you in getting shoes and leotard and tights as well. Hair in a pony for younger classes, and all dancers in Ballet levels 2 and up need to wear buns to ballet and pointe classes.
Jazz: Black dance shorts (with leotard and tights underneath!), leggings, or capris way be worn with black jazz shoes. All dancers need their hair in a pony and back from their face…girls in Ballet 2 and up need buns for all ballet and pointe classes.
Boys: black pants, black shorts, or black capris with a plain white or plain black shirt, black ballet shoes, and black tap shoes. Hip Hop guys can wear sports attire shorts/shirts/sweats to class with clean sneakers or socks.
*Tuition is due on the first class of every month, or you may pay by the semester. We give everyone a 2 week grace period before a late fee of $10 will be automatically added (by the dancestudio-pro system) on the 15th of each month. However, we gave everyone until Sept. 20th since this is the first month. You can pay online, by check or cash in the tuition box at the studio, or you can sign up for auto-pay on the parent portal. Auto pay will deduct between the 1-5th of every month, with the exception of September. Since classes begin on the 9th, auto pay pulls tuition on the 8th this month. Auto pay is only for monthly tuition. It does not pull for individual items such as costumes fees, tickets, DVDs, Cecchetti exams etc. You will need to manually pay for items other than monthly tuition.
The yearly studio calendar will be sent home with all students next week, so you can put the important mandatory dates (like recital and dress rehearsal week) on your calendar for the year!
Thanks! Can’t wait to see everyone next week!!!
