Picture weekend reminders and tickets

Recital reminders:

*It’s recital picture weekend! Class times are listed in your May newsletter/recital packet and also posted by the door at the studio. Please bring your picture order form with you to pictures on Sunday. All dancers (except boys hip hop) should come with pink tights, pink ballet shoes, ballet costume, with their hair in a bun for pictures. I will post a bun tutorial on our DanceStation facebook page. You do not need a donut to make a nice bun, but hairnets are very helpful!

*Your final tuition installment (June) is due on Sunday before you can order recital tickets. Auto-pay families will have tuition pulled Sunday morning, June 1st. Why is there a 5th (June) installment? Because tuition is calculated by semester and broken up into 5 equal payments for your convenience. Both first and second semesters have the same number of weeks.

*Tickets are on sale at the studio starting on Sunday, picture day. You will check in with Miss Jenny Fischer at her desk and then you can purchase tickets by cash, check or through the parent portal. Please triple check to make sure you are getting tickets to the correct day. We recitals on Sat and Sun this year. No ticket limits this year, as we have 4 seperate performances to make tickets more available.

*Last day to order recital flowers and Blu-ray/flashdrives through our online store is Sunday, June 1st. Flowers and bake sale proceeds go towards our State Street Dance Company dancers for scholarships and guest teachers.

*Summer sign up is in the lobby and we are trying to get a final count on attendance for our summer rosters. Please sign your child up this weekend if you are planning on taking summer classes and you have not signed up already. The Wicked camp for dancers aged 7 and up (with experience) is almost full – just 5 spaces left. The Moana/Island Adventure camps for ages 3-6 fill up quickly over the summer as well. We ask all upper level ballet and pointe dancers to continue their pointe training over the summer and our SSDC members are required to take 2 technique classes this summer as well as the SSDC intensive.

*Recital week can be confusing for new families so make sure you reach out to me or your teacher with any questions, especially this year with rehearsals spread out differently.

*Next week:   Monday’s Coppelia dress rehearsal is at the studio, Tues and Wed jazz/tap/modern/bway dress rehearsals are at the Hett, Thursday Ugly Duckling rehearsals for all 3/4yr, 5/6yr, and Combo classes are back at the studio, and Friday Sweet Emotions/Ugly Duckling and Coppelia dress rehearsals are at the Hett. Sat and Sun are recital days! So exciting and magical, and also very-very busy!!! We head into summer with a magical recital weekend, and we are so proud of all our dancers and just how beautiful the performances are going to be. So excited for everyone to see!!!!
