Fall Semester classes begin tomorrow Sept 11

Fall semester classes begin tomorrow, September 11th. We are so excited to begin again! If you signed up for Auto-pay (automatic withdrawl) it will go through tomorrow for anyone that didn’t pay manually this month already. Usually auto-pay will go though between the 1-5th of each month as we move forward.  Tuition is due on the first class of every month. You can pay online through your parent portal, or with cash or check at the studio. Email me at edancestation@yahoo.com if you are having trouble logging in, and I can reset it for you. Also, make sure you fully close out the DanceStation app every time you use it. I was told leaving it open will sometimes cause the “invalid” password to appear. Also, logging in with the incorrect password multiple times will lock your account for 24 hours.

Construction on the studio front/facade was pushed back and is ongoing this week.  They will be finished by 3:30pm daily in time for classes each day. I’m so excited to see the finished ‘refresh’ that studio will have by the end of the project. Please remember you can use street parking on both sides of State Street in front of the studio. Depending on the day and time, our back parking lot gets really full.

Nutcracker casting for each performance of our December 15th and 16th performances at the Hett is being sent home this week, with the studio calendar, permission slip, and September Newsletter.  If your child is in a 3/4 yr old class, 5/6 yr old class, or combination ballet/tap/jazz class – please come back to pick up your child 10 min early on the first class for a quick parent meeting so that our teachers can speak about the Nutcracker performances. If you have a new student in Ballet 2 and up and have never done Nutcracker with us before, ask your teacher any questions after class or email me directly. There is lots of information in the Sept packet we are sending home – it can look overwhelming – but we just want to have super clear communication with parents right away. Nutcacker is not mandatory, although most families love to participate, you can absolutely opt out.

Remember that students in Ballet 2 and up must wear buns to all ballet/Cecchetti/pointe classes as part of their dress code. If you don’t have time to put one in after school, many families send their kiddos in a bun to school that day. I did that many times as a younger dancer myself. Hair nets and bobby pins are a must! I have a bun tutorial on our DanceStation Facebook page that walks you through a super-easy bun, starting with a pony tail, and using a hair net and bobby pins.

Looking forward to seeing everyone this week! thanks so much, Elizabeth
