Nutcracker permission slip

Our Nutcracker permission slip is being sent home this week.  Please keep the top copy for your records and return the bottom half, and the $40 fee, with your October tuition next week. The Thur. Dec. 9th Dress Rehearsal is 100% mandatory to participate in the show. I know I sound like a broken record with that, but we always have conflicts come up (church plays, band concerts, or school Christmas plays, etc) and some tough decisions may have to be made. In order to do our Nutcracker you have to agree to the Sat. Dec 4th dress rehearsal at the studio, as well as the Thur. Dec. 9th dress rehearsal on the stage.  Nutcracker participation is not mandatory, and some students do opt out, but it is such a beautiful and fun performance for the kids and families – we hope you can participate!

Tuition is always due with the first class of each month, we do not bill individual families unless you are very behind on tuition. A late fee of $10 will be added after the 15th of each month.

Please remember to send your students with a water bottle and a mask to each class. We have gone through over 150 masks in 3 weeks! I have ordered more, but please make an effort to remember to bring your own.

I will be posting a bun tutorial again later this week on our Facebook page. My younger Ballet 2-3 kids are coming in with very sloppy buns that fall out in the middle of class, and then take time out of class to fix. Hair nets work wonders – as do lots of bobby pins –  like 12-15 per bun! We are turning and jumping more in these classes, and their ‘messy buns’ are not holding up! Pre/K, 5-6yr, and combo Ballet/tap/jazz 1 classes can still do pony tails until recital time. Ballet 2 and up kiddos need real buns for every Ballet and Cecchetti class; it is actually part of our dress code.

Please be on time to pick up your kids from class! Our teachers have back to back classes, and if we are waiting for you outside to pick up your child, it means we cannot start our next class on time. Better to be early than late. For littles, we are still doing indoor drop-off and outdoor pick-up, but if the weather is bad you can wait inside the building as long as you put on a mask. Thanks!

Classes are going really well!  Next week we will send home the October news letter with more info about watch week. Nutcracker tickets continue to sell quickly, so don’t wait too much longer to purchase if you are participating.

thanks! Elizabeth
