DanceStation news:  October 2023

Reminders:

Tuition:  Your monthly tuition is due with the first class of each month- unless you have made other arrangements with me in person.  A late fee of $10 will be added to your account after the 15^th of every month.

The Nutcracker Permission Slip was due with the $45 participation/costume rental fee.  If your child was sick last week, or misplaced the permission slip, just get a new one this week.   Everyone wishing to participate in our December Nutcracker will need to agree to the Sat. Dec 9^th dress rehearsal at the studio and the Thur. Dec 14^th dress rehearsal at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts.

Nutcracker Tickets:  It is so exciting that the tickets are selling very quickly this year! We usually sell out by November, and this year the tickets are selling faster than normal.  If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, please do not wait any longer.  The Friday show has less than 78 tickets left, the Saturday 2pm show has less than 41 tickets left, and the Saturday 6:30pm show has only 35 tickets remaining.  That sounds like a lot, but the tickets go very quickly once we hit October. You can purchase tickets through the Hett box office 618-537-6863 or online at mckendree.edu.  The Nutcracker is co-presented by the Hett and so the tickets are assigned seating.  If you wait too long, your party will be sitting separately.  It’s a beautiful show, very fun and festive, it’s a great holiday tradition, and I just want to make sure everyone gets a chance to see their child perform! 😊

DANCESTATION APP!!!!

The App is available on Google Play store for Android users and the Apple App store for I-Phones.  We have recently found that some families still haven’t downloaded the App.  The DanceStation App is where we post all new information, the studio calendar, updates, and reminders. Please allow notifications so you know when new info is added.

Please make an extra effort to pick up your child on time. The teachers go straight from one class to another.  If we are waiting for you, then we aren’t teaching the next class.  If you do happen to run late, just call the studio and we will bring your child into our next class, so they aren’t alone in the lobby. Also, as it gets darker this fall, I will be encouraging older students to wait in the lobby and not outside in the dark. Thanks for your help keeping our kiddos safe!

Reminder:  We DO have class on Monday, Oct 9^th for Columbus Day. We DO NOT have class on Tuesday, Oct 31^st for Halloween.

Watch week/Parent Observation is October 16-19.  Parents are invited in to watch the entire class this week.  Please help the teachers by silencing your cell phones and keeping your younger children from running around the room and being distracting to the dancers.
